REFINISHING

Saltillo (Mexican Tile) - Is a man-made clay with many different types of color textures. Saltillo usually needs to be scrubbed/stripped with a variety of different pads. After removing residue, or finishes it is then rinsed clean and dried thoroughly. The final step would be applying a finish that would appeal to the customer and their own unique preference. Some would like a matte look, some would prefer the glossy look.

Natural Stones - Require specialized care to maintain or restore their natural beauty. No two floors are alike; that is why every job we arrive at is unique & specific to what that floor may need. Depending on what type of floor we are dealing with, there are several steps in refinishing the floor.

Cleaning - Depending on the surface, a specific pad will be used to scrub the stone. Then a clean and thorough rinse is applied.

An impregnator/sealer will be used which will bond the stone, hardening its surface, and preventing staining that comes from various substances.

Re-polishing is the final step in restoring the natural luster in your stone.

Honing is sometimes required when the stone suffers from scratches or is damaged.
